Our story

It starts with family

Pineapple Hospitality Group’s story began over 40 years ago when our founder, Jim Rehm, returned from the Navy with a big dream and a few bucks saved up. With that, he opened his first pizzeria in New York. His three sons—Jason, Jimmy, and Jon—started working there at a young age, building pizza boxes and giving guests the first taste of what would become our guiding principle:

Uncommon Hospitality.

They quickly fell in love with what would become the family business. In 2004, Jim’s sons moved to Florida and soon realized the need for seriously fun food. They called Jim and urged him to bring the family business to the Sunshine State. There, they could continue creating new brands and sharing their passion with local communities.

Once settled in Florida, Jim’s daughter married Caleb Metcalf, who shared their passion for the family business and completed the group. Together, Jim, Jason, Jimmy, Jon, and Caleb have set out to see what they can accomplish, one seriously fun dish or reinvented taco at a time.

The heart of the group is

the pineapple

the international symbol of hospitality. This symbol represents our commitment to Jim’s dream by providing Uncommon Hospitality to every guest, employee, and vendor we work with.

As Jim always says,

“Customers may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel."

We're surrounded by people who share our passion for hospitality.

Making others happy drives us every day.

To do great things, you have to love what you do, and we’re all in.
